Jumpstart your Thunderbird journey – join us for Rookie Day Camp!
Rookie Day Camp is available for both Boys’ Camp and Girls’ Camp campers who have completed 1st grade through 4th in the 2024-25 school year. The Rookie Day Camp programs are mirror images of each other, providing a single-gender camp environment. Both of our facilities are situated on the picturesque Lake Plantagenet in Bemidji, MN.
- Campers select three electives per day creating opportunities for skill-building growth.
- Campers customize their daily experience, developing independence through personal interests.
- Every challenge is celebrated, building self-confidence and resilience.
- Technology free zone!
Rookie Camp Details
Cost: $450 per week (includes breakfast and lunch)
Grades: 1st – 4th (2024-25 school year)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Drop-off: 8:00 am | Pick-up: 5:15 pm
2025 Sessions
- Week 1: June 23 – June 27
- Week 2: June 30 – July 3 *
- Week 3: July 7 – July 11
- Week 4: July 14 – July 18
- Week 5: July 21 – July 25
- Week 6: July 28 – August 1
* No day camp on July 4th, the week will be prorated

Meals
Breakfast and lunch are served family style. We off alternative options based on allergies and intolerances.

Game Time
Hang out with the other campers and counselors. Relax on the hammocks and swings. Play GaGa ball, Ping-Pong, Nine Square, TetherBall and more.
Rookie Round-Up
At the end of the busy day, campers head to their cabin to reconnect with the group, share the highlights of their activities, play group games, and prepare for pick-up.
